About Melana Yuzefpolskaya
Melana Yuzefpolskaya, MD is a cardiologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure, with a special interest in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She is board certified in General Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.
Dr. Yuzefpolskaya is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at NYU, Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at St. Luke's Roosevelt Medical Center and advanced training in advanced heart failure, cardiac assist devices and transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Yuzefpolskaya has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts in prestigious journals, including Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, Circulation: Heart Failure, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Several of her abstracts had been presented at the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation
Dr. Yuzefpolskaya joined the Faculty at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care in 2011, named the Associate Medical Director for the Cardiac Assisted Device Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She sees patients in Washington Heights in New York City.
