About Stan Arkow
Dr. Stan D. Arkow is a Board Certified psychiatrist working as Medical Director of CPEP & Inpatient Psychiatry at CUMC. He has been on the faculty at Columbia since 1981. Dr. Arkow maintains two private practice locations, one on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at 96th Street and West End Avenue and the other on Knollwood Road in White Plains, Westchester County. Psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Best Doctor in NY for 14 years. NY Magazine Best Doctor 2012. Physician of the Year, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital 2008.
Dr. Arkow teaches attendings, residents, and medical students at Columbia, is Chair of the Membership Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of the Columbia Academy of Academic Excellence (ACE), is Secretary-Treasurer and serves on the Executive Committee of the New York Psychiatric Society , and serves as a mentor in the Career Development Leadership Program of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America(ADAA).
