Dr. Riolo's care philosophy focuses on patient education and exploring all means of conservative measure prior to more invasive procedures. Dr. Riolo strives to treat each patient with compassion and understanding, while explaining each condition thoroughly. His goal is to decrease pain and improve activity, while striving to promote wellness, function, and performance.

Dr. Riolo has written multiple book chapters on spinal conditions and treatments and has edited a textbook on musculoskeletal medicine. He has participated in several research studies. He has presented a multitude of case reports at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Annual Assembly and the Association of Academic Physiatrists Annual Conference.
