Active knee extension (foot supported)

  1. Sit in a chair with your foot resting on a stool across from you and your knee slightly raised.
  2. Tighten your thigh muscles to push your knee down.
  3. Hold for about 6 seconds, then relax for up to 10 seconds.
  4. Repeat 8 to 12 times.
  5. It's a good idea to repeat these steps with your other leg.
