Child's well visit, 2 to 4 weeks: Overview

Your baby is already watching and listening to you. Talking, cuddling, hugging, and kissing are all ways that you can help your baby grow and develop.

Your baby may look at faces and follow an object with their eyes. They may respond to sounds by blinking, crying, or seeming to be startled.

At this stage, your baby may sleep most of the day and wake up about every 2 to 3 hours to eat. Each baby is different.
