Your child will have many things to share with you as they learn new things in school. It's important that they get enough sleep and healthy food during this time. They're also learning to develop social skills and to read better.
Help your child unwind after school with some quiet time. Set aside some time to talk about the day. Show interest in their schoolwork.
Encourage your child to be active for at least 1 hour each day. And do things as a family. Visit a park, or go for walks and bike rides, if you can.
