The AAOCA Program provides comprehensive diagnosis, advanced imaging, and individualized care for children and young adults with anomalous coronary arteries. These conditions are rare and often subtle, and accurate assessment requires a team experienced in coronary imaging and congenital heart disease.
We combine echocardiography, high-resolution cardiac CT and MRI with patient-specific 3D modeling, surgical simulation, and FFR-based flow analysis, when appropriate, to understand coronary anatomy in detail. This level of visualization allows us to identify high-risk features, guide surgical planning, and give families a clear, visual explanation of their child’s condition. We discuss complex clinical cases in a multidisciplinary meeting to determine best course of management.
