What is eosinophilic esophagitis?

Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is an allergic condition causing inflammation of the esophagus.

What causes eosinophilic esophagitis?

Many people with EoE have a family history of allergic disorders such as asthma, rhinitis, dermatitis or food allergy.

What are the symptoms of eosinophilic esophagitis?

Symptoms include abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing, preference of liquids over solids, poor weight gain, reflux, chest pain.
