About Us

A collaboration between the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian, and the New York Genome Center.

The Women’s Genetics Center provides expert genetic counseling and whole genome sequencing to support patients on the path to parenthood. Grounded in a human-centered approach to care, our services include thorough evaluation, review of family history, personalized education, and support throughout the genetic testing and results process.

Our clinical team is comprised of expert genetic counselors and physicians dedicated to helping patients navigate pregnancy management when a fetal anomaly is found. Our laboratory team includes laboratory geneticists from the New York Genome Center with expertise in the analysis and interpretation of prenatal genetic information. Together, this world-renowned team is leading the introduction of prenatal genome sequencing in obstetrics care, helping patients understand anticipated outcomes and recurrence risks.
