The Columbia University Center for Hip Preservation and Athletic Hip Injuries is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and athletic trainers with a passion for getting patients of all ages back into action – whether they are a competitive gymnast with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), a weekend warrior tennis player with chronic hip pain due to an undiagnosed joint disorder, or child with hip dysplasia. Columbia Orthopedics and NewYork-Presbyterian provide comprehensive care for the entire spectrum of hip disorders utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including both non-surgical and surgical procedures from nationally recognized innovators in the field.
Our multidisciplinary hip preservation team provides cutting-edge nonsurgical and operative care for the full spectrum of hip injuries and disorders affecting patients ranging from infants to older adults. Whether caring for competitive athletes with a traumatic injury, managing chronic hip disorders, or treating degenerative conditions, our providers are focused on joint-preserving interventions to relieve pain, restore function, and halt further damage to the hip joint.
