RADIANCE-HTN Study
A randomized study of the ReCor Medical Paradise System in Clinical Hypertension: This study is looking at an alternative to medications by using the investigational device, Paradise Renal Denervation System, for treating patients with high blood pressure (hypertension). Participants with hypertension that cannot be controlled by medication will be randomly (by chance, like flipping a coin) assigned to the Paradise Renal Denervation System or a sham (placebo) procedure. The Paradise Renal Denervation System works by disabling the arterial nerves to lower blood pressure. Early results have shown a reduction in the blood pressure of patients who were treated with the Paradise Renal Denervation System compared to the patients that had placebo procedure. Enrollment now continues for a group of patients with more resistant hypertension, those that continue to have high blood pressure despite taking three or more medications.
